Surprisingly entertaining and fun, rich with history and will give a good window into the city of Istanbul

A pleasant museum, five floors of exposition. At the top is modern art (for an amateur), below are artifacts related to weights and measures, even lower are history, landscape painting. There is a very beautiful canvas embroidered with silk. The second floor is occupied by a portrait gallery, mostly with works by little-known European masters of the 18th and 19th centuries. A very beautiful and lovely cafe on the ground floor with a small grand piano in the middle. The food is delicious and fresh for 5.

A very atmospheric museum. For my taste, halls with modern art can be safely skipped. But what really deserves attention is the hall where panoramas of Constantinople and Istanbul are exhibited. And, of course, painting. Especially the Turtle Trainer. In this picture, everyone sees their own.

The family Foundation has converted the Bristol Hotel into wonderful exhibition spaces. There is a permanent exhibition of old masters from the founders' collection, and there are changing expositions of modern art. Cafe, museum shop. Very stylish design. Discounts for persons 65+. Accessible environment for the disabled.

A nice museum located on a busy street in Istanbul. The building has 5 floors, on the top there are exhibits of modern art, from below there are more historical and antique works. The student ticket cost us 50 lire.

An important player in the world of contemporary art in Istanbul and Turkey as well.
The museum is located next to the most famous Istiklal pedestrian street in the Taksim district in the historic building of the Bristol Hotel (1893). The building has five floors, not counting the lower floor with a hall, a museum store and a cafe. Temporary exhibitions are located on the three upper floors, which change approximately every two months.
On the second floor, works from the museum's collection are oriental art of the 19th century by European and Turkish artists. The famous painting "The Turtle Trainer" by Osman Hamdi Bey is located here.
There are two permanent exhibitions on the ground floor: to the right - a collection of Anatolian measures and clocks (more than 10,000 objects from antiquity to the present), and to the left - tiles and ceramics of Kutakhya (800 objects from different periods)
At the Pera Museum, the Isabel Muñoz photo exhibition "Yeni bir hikaye" (New History) is currently taking place on the upper two floors, photographs from and near Gebekli Tepe - the most mysterious and ancient place of worship that leaves no one indifferent, documentaries are intertwined here with artistic image processing.
The exhibition will run until September 17th
And on the third floor, the exhibition "Zamane Istanbul" has been extended by 11 Istanbul photo artists telling their stories of Istanbul.
Monday is a day off at the museum.
On Friday, the museum is open until 22.00 and free of charge, on Sunday until 18.00, on other days until 19.00.
The ticket price is 80 lira, with a discount of 40 TL
The cafe has delicious coffee and croissants.

I visited the Pen Museum in Istanbul with my sister. It was very close to our hotel. It is very small in size, with different directions of art. There were photographs, installations, paintings. I can't say that we were impressed by the art collected in it, but we ticked the box about visiting.

A small museum on 4 floors, the number of exhibits is less than in the county Museum of Local lore. The entrance is 100 liras. The Museum Pass is not valid. I do not recommend visiting.
