A very beautiful place, I recommend you to visit. The palace itself, the grief and the magnificent view of the sea and the Bosphorus. The price tag is not humane, in October 2024 - 1,750 lira. But they give you an audio guide for free (extremely inconvenient, just an old smartphone). But I recommend the place itself to visit.
Topkapi Palace is an amazing place! It is worth visiting here at least once if you come to Istanbul. Take the time to bypass it completely.

It is useful for general development. Like any other locations with an ancient history. Only the entrance to the palace costs an inadequate 1,700 rubles per person. (for local 170) If you want a guide, then prepare another $ 40-50 per person. The tour itself is mediocre. I think a free audio guide that you can take for free after buying a ticket will solve the problem not much worse. Near the palace there is a pleasant Gulhane Park with alleys, benches, where large green parrots live. You can relax there. Admission to the park is free.
A must-visit place when traveling to Istanbul, a very convenient audio guide. The best ones should be planned for the first half of the day, as much earlier, since there are a lot of people from lunch and queues are possible when visiting museums and exhibitions. I recommend it, get a good impression.
We walked around the garden, but did not go inside. The price in September is simply incredible, even at first they did not believe it. It is a pity that the country's economy should rise at the expense of tourists, on the contrary, there is a desire not to visit the city anymore (
It is simply not possible to visit Istanbul and not visit Topkapi! A very interesting place, there are many museums on the territory, a harem with the sultan's chambers, pavilions ... the view from the balconies and terraces is fascinating!
It's a good big museum, which you have to come to for the opening at 9, because it will be released only by the closing at 17. There are audio guides with collateral, places where you can sit down and relax, toilets.
However, the big disadvantage is the cost of 1,500 lira (≈50$ at the time of writing) for tourists, when the entrance for locals is 250. The evidence of an aggressive pricing policy towards tourists is sad, although it is not something surprising.
The place is stunningly beautiful , tulips are everywhere , a symbol of Turkey . I just want to come and sit quietly in the shade of the trees . I recommend you to visit .
By walking through the Topkapi Palace, I fulfilled my wife's long-standing dream. The history of the Ottoman Empire is wide and diverse. During the reign of the empire, I have accumulated many interesting events and stories, as well as historical relics. And the interest in all this, of course, gave birth to the Magnificent Century series. Thanks to the creators and actors of this wonderful series
A magnificent complex. The richest expositions. The Hall of Relics and the treasury are fascinating. In summer, among the blooming gardens and the most pleasant architecture, surrounded by the history of the Ottomans, I advise you to lay 4 or even 5 hours.
The price for tourists is overstated by as much as 6(!!!!) the entrance fee is 1500 rubles (about $ 50), while for locals it is only 250 rubles. I have never seen such lawlessness anywhere.
Disgusting and boorish attitude of the staff.
After we passed the ticket turnstiles, one of the three of us lost the ticket. After that, one person was simply not allowed into the harem, although he was included in the price on this ticket. I don't see the logic in this, because we passed the turnstile with a ticket. Obviously, we couldn't go in without paying. The frustration of spending a fairly large amount and such a rude attitude of the staff.
I can notice the palace itself and the territory are beautiful, but the organization, price and attitude of tourists are disgusting. I'm unlikely to go a second time or recommend it to someone.
One of the points of the mandatory program in Istanbul. The impressions are good. A gorgeous palace.
We got an idea of the harem system, which is very different from the generally accepted one.
And of course it is touching that ticket prices for foreigners are, to put it mildly, "horse-like".
There are beautiful places, there is an interesting story, but 80% of them are just boring monotonous exhibits. It takes a lot of time, to be honest, there is not much benefit, just a museum with a very expensive price tag
A great museum
The Hermitage in miniature
Tickets are expensive - about 3 tons of rubles
Sightseeing tours at the same price
But they are worth it!
It costs about 10 tons of rubles for two to eat well in a restaurant

Ticket price ~ 5k rubles
We walked around the palace for almost 4.5 hours at an average pace. And we didn't even watch a little bit.
I don't know why they write that the audio guide should be listened to with headphones. We listened perfectly well without them. Several locations were not translated into Russian, but it's not scary. Overall, we liked the audio guide.
And I still don't know why everyone writes to come to the opening itself, we arrived at 12:00, there were no queues (end of November).
Of the cons, the toilets were only in the beginning😅
A beautiful palace, but queues, with a single ticket, the Church of St. Nicholas is also included.Irina, we didn't get there, we didn't know about it, the ticket says in Turkish..
The centuries-old rich history of the palace is amazing, a very interesting tour with a wonderful guide. The territory, the exhibits of the museum, the interiors and the splendor of the Sultan's palace are amazing. There is an audio guide, the ticket cost 650 rubles. There is a queue, but it moves fast enough
The place is generally not bad. There is a place to walk. But there are not many interesting exhibits. The price at the time of writing the review is quite high. The audio guide apparently exists for show (not informative, not interesting). There were a lot of people.
An interesting large museum in Istanbul. You can see the history of costumes, the treasury, temples, libraries and the Sultan's harem). If you plan to visit, then this place will take half a day for sure.
The price is 1500 liras, the visit is worth it. It is better to lay the whole day for a full examination. Do not forget that Tuesday is a day off. The audio guide in Russian is almost useless (there are numbers in the application, but they are not always indicated in the exhibits and vice versa, the exhibits indicate that there is an audio guide, but there is no audio guide), a passport or 1000 bachs is needed for collateral. They didn't regret it.
It's a great place. I recommend visiting it at the very opening - avoid long queues and get the opportunity to walk around an empty landmark. the main influx begins about an hour and a half after the opening
A must-visit. By the time of 4-5 hours. My son and husband were impressed by the exhibition of weapons, my sister and I liked the harem (I advise you to start with it). After visiting, I wanted to watch the Magnificent Century series.
A dream come true! Sultan Suleiman's Palace. The price of course for May 2024 bites. 1,500 lire per person (multiplied by 3) is a single ticket. You cannot buy visits to different rooms separately. But it's worth it. I recommend you to visit at least once in your life! But you need to have 3+ hours left
The later you arrive over the years, the more rooms are closed for restoration. Considering the ticket price of 650 lira, huge crowds of tourists, queues and poor information of the audio guide (to pay Guides for 50 euros), I don't want to come here in any way. Although, as long as there is demand, prices will rise and more and more space will be closed from people. For 7 years, the chambers of Hurrem Sultan have never been opened.
In 2016, much more was opened (although the chambers of Hurrem Sultan are always under restoration, it is impossible to get in) . The Sultan and Walide's chambers were now closed. Somehow the question arises, what are we paying for? Look outside the building and several halls, while the most interesting is closed from fans of the Magnificent Century.
The territory of 1400 is impressive, you can walk along the Golden Path, freezing inside if you fly in the cool season. I've been in winter and spring and summer and autumn)
One cafe for thousands of people. Yes, you can look at the Bosphorus from there. But it is better to buy a boat trip. Just my thoughts.
P.S. In front of the kitchen area, where there are huge stoves, there is an almost black smooth tree that is more than 500 years old. They walk past him without noticing. I stopped and thought about how many centuries had passed, people were born and died, but it still stands.
When you watch TV shows, everything is expensive, rich)
When you find yourself in Topkapi Palace, you notice thick bars on every window. The yard for walking is deaf and closed. And you immediately understand, in captivity. Approximately 1,200 women lived in the harem permanently. And only a few were allowed to walk, the rest worked all day, waiting for the "finest hour", or when they would get married. There is a lot to think about. There is a fairy tale on the screen, in real life all the romance is replaced by not the best echo of those times. Survival and the constant struggle to save lives.
The materialized world of Turkish TV series! The beauty, the modest outlines of the owners' past wealth. You can easily imagine the life raging in the palace. The location is accessible, in the historical center. There is a small queue for tickets. The exposition is available for inspection. It takes about 2 hours for the examination.
Being a fan of the TV series "Magnificent Century", I naturally dreamed of getting into the Top Cape Palace. And my dream came true)
The palace is luxurious and beautiful! Part of the premises is reserved for museum exhibits of objects belonging to the Ottoman dynasty.
The garden is beautiful and well maintained. The balconies offer magnificent views of the Bosphorus.
The interior of the palace is a work of art! It is necessary to take at least 3 hours for the examination.
The only thing is that the crowds of tourists scurrying back and forth prevented them from completely immersing themselves in the atmosphere and imagining how they lived in the palace under Suleiman the Magnificent)).
What a beauty, God!!! A lot of rooms have already been restored, in good condition. What a beauty, what tiles on the walls. In the 16th century, there were already toilets, a hammam, washbasins and running water. A "magnificent century" and that's all. It seems that Hurrem will go out on the balcony and look at everyone with his eyes 🙂
A large, beautiful palace with a park. It will be more interesting for fans of the "Magnificent Century" than for those who are not familiar with the topic. The most beautiful pavilions are in the last courtyard, there is a library, a circumcision pavilion, an observation deck over the strait.
The first thing that catches your eye... This is the ticket price🎫 They may have confused Switzerland and Turkey in this particular place. The palace itself certainly deserves attention and admiration. In some places, if you dream up, you can get great pleasure from visiting. A place for culture, history, photo and video shooting. But there is always a consumer attitude and a huge number of people. Such places always leave an ambivalent and ambiguous opinion. It is worth visiting once in a lifetime, and the second time... You can buy for money, from the ticket price 🎫, a sea flight to Antalya✈
The palace was preserved in the 17th century, so there is no wild mix of styles. I advise you to take a guide or study all the literature about the harem, otherwise there will be no impressions. The audio guide does not help much, it gives a couple of crookedly translated sentences. We took a tour and we really liked it, despite the fact that in the middle of the harem it turned out that Erdogan was coming and we were promptly thrown out)
The location is Top.Fans of Turkish TV series are required to visit. There is a queue, but it passes quickly.Be sure to take a free add-on in the form of an audio guide
I recommend buying a ticket yourself at the ticket office, the price is about 4000 rubles, but you can walk around the entire palace on your own, and not gallop with an excursion. There are cafes and benches for recreation on the territory. During the day, we examined everything except the harem-we no longer had enough strength. But it was worth the money and time spent
50 euros per ticket, I think, is very expensive. Don't go in winter, it's cold and expensive. There are few impressions. In the hot summer, this is probably the time when you want to give any money to hide in the cool. To be honest, there's not much to watch. But the mullah sings beautifully. It's much nicer in tanks
It's beautiful, of course, but ticket prices have increased for the third time in a year. And it was also surprising that there were very few utensils and objects of that time in the halls. Basically everything is collected in separate themed halls with clothes, books, dishes and so on.
Delightfully. The palace is steeped in history, beautiful interiors. Definitely worth a visit. Magnificent view of the Bosphorus. I really liked the harem, everything is like in the Magnificent Century series.
Fans of history and some films about the sultans and their approach need to visit these places. We spent 5 hours at this place. I recommend

If you are not a fan of the Magnificent Century, then there is absolutely nothing to do here. I love museums, but this palace is just a disappointment. Don't even expect any luxury, as in Peterhof - most of the rooms are empty, there are sofas and pillows in some places. Some of the premises are closed. The harem is just as half-empty. A beautiful observation deck, but beautiful views in Istanbul can be found for free. The price is not even close to the quality. It's better to drink this money or go to the hammam)
Entrance is 750 lire (~2,700 rubles), extended 950 lire with a harem (~3,400 rubles). An amazing place, many expositions, ranging from a collection of watches, things, dishes, to jewelry, vases, weapons, etc. Beautiful pavilions, an inner courtyard (there are three of them), you can choose more complicated stories and take a huge number of photos. I recommend a mandatory visit to Istanbul!

With a ticket for 1,500 lira, you can visit: Topkapi Palace, harem and St. Irene's Church. In the palace museum you can see many exhibits, there is a footprint of Muhammad, jewelry, weapons, clothes of that time.
I do not rate it highly, because:
1. the cost of 1500 liras is, in my opinion, significantly overestimated. For local residents, the price is much cheaper.
2. There is a free audio guide on site, but there is no free WiFi and this is for such an expensive ticket price. In many places, it is not possible to listen to the audio guide, because the Internet from local mobile operators does not work stably.communications.
3. The legacy of Byzantium is poorly monitored. There is a lot of garbage, there is no restoration.
With a ticket price of 5,000 rubles per person, there are catastrophically few exhibits worth paying attention to. We took an audio guide, deciding that it would be enough - it's not. It was interesting to see the harem, the treasure collections, and perhaps everything. A child who was calmly walking around the Hermitage and was interested was howling with boredom. I hope this review will help save someone time and money.
A well-maintained and exhibit-rich museum. The arms and jewelry departments are especially good. But! One small and extremely meager cafe for thousands of tourists. And the palace itself is completely different from children's ideas about the palaces of the eastern sultans and padishahs. Alas, everything is much more boring, more modest and even poorer than in the fairy tales of 1001 nights and, moreover, Hollywood cliches about the palaces of the eastern lords. One of the biggest disappointments in life.
